This week i am hosting the Sunday Stash* link party on behalf of Molli Sparkles. And having a giveaway! Polka Dot Tea and I have joined forces to offer a pretty great giveaway – a $30 fabric voucher and a Raspberry Spool patterns of your choice. Yay!
Link up or comment to enter – see the end of this post for details.
*If you don’t know what the Sunday Stash is, its a round up of recent fabric purchases. Basically we show off our shopping!
This is the second year that Polka Dot Tea have run their Cotton Couture Club and you guys know I love a fabric club. I fell in love with Michael Millers Cotton Couture solids the moment I first used them completing my Downtown quilt. The fabric is super soft and the colours are so rich. I never feeling like I am scrimping on quality using a solids when using these. Anyway, I’m gushing. The first month saw six glorious greens arrive, from a grassy green, through to a true green and almost turing into aqua. I can’t wait to see which colour arrives next month.
The long awaited Canberra Ikea finally opened before Christmas and I have only been there a few times, I swear! Last time I did pick up 3.5 meters of cotton fabric which will be perfect for a quilt back. The ‘Nattljus’ pattern is designed by Paulin Machado (an in-house Ikea designer) and will make a nice change from the standard Britten Nummer…
Next up is a Rayon aztec print bought from Spotlight Australia. I am on a mission to create a new wardrobe handmade by me, so am always looking for fabulous dress fabrics. I found this one hiding in the shelves while on the hunt for something completely different. This fabric is destined to become another Simplicity 2215 dress. It’s cut out and ready to be sewn up, just need to find a few extra moments to start stitching it up!
This lightweight fabric fell in my shopping bag at Spotlight Australia… I bought a metre and I plan to make a scarf trimmed with the pom-poms. It’s going to be super cute for the Autumn chill which is just around the corner.

Beauty School Dropout in Carkai would be awesome.

The Linky thingy lost me so here I am hoping so much that I win this fabulous giveaway
I would love the opportunity to use Carolyn Friedlander’s Carkai and Doe fabrics to make the Cabin Fever quilt.
I haven’t made any purchases lately (being so good!), but I think I’d love to make your medallion quilt pattern and those colours are just stunning I love cotton couture.
Easy question! I think I’d incorporate Lecien texty prints into my modern medallion! Oh but then there is that lovely AMH prints. Decisions decisions.
That’s easy…
I would do your orange peel with the Daiwabo Junko Dots and Loops and with the Melange/Chambray Cotton Yarn Dye fabrics by Lecien in Black/grey in place of your white.
I’d love to try the washi bag pattern in the ex libris art gallery theory medallion panel by Alison Glass From polka dotties.
I lve those greens. I would like o combine Modern Medallion with Alison Glass fabrics( Sunprints)
Ooooooh I think I’d go modern medallion with cotton couture solids and a smattering of Heather Ross…
Ohh what a fun giveaway! I’m planning on making my first quilt using a Yuwa charm pack and a Japanese white chambray as a blender. Hopefully the result will be a soft crinkly quilt just in time for winter!
I would love to try making the modern medallion quilt using lots of scraps and my current favourite collection Paperie! It works with so many prints and I adore the soft colours and prints!
It would definitely be a modern medallion with my Michael Miller solids and well hoarded AMH
It would definitely be a modern medallion with my Michael Miller solids and Carakai
I think some bluebird by C&S would be lovely:)) Thanks for the chance.
The Alison Glass indigos are a favourite at the moment, although the there are so many lovely fabrics to covet atm
I’d love to win a copy of your Cabin Fever pattern (I have your other two already), and think it would look great made up in ‘Skopelos’ by Katarina Roccella. I’d also use my stash of Michael Miller’s Cotton Couture solids I’ve been receiving from Polkadot Tea Fabrics over these past months. Thanks for the chance to win.
Huge Cotton Couture fan here too!! But I think I’d like to spin up your Orange Peel pattern, with some of the awesome new Cotton & Steel Fruit Dots. Thanks for an awesome giveaway!
I would love some Folk Song, Anna Maria Horner. But it is all lovely. I don’t have a blog though. 🙁 Thanks for the chance!
I think I would use AMH True Colors for Cabin Fever! What a sweet surprise this giveaway is and thank you for hosting this week!

I really like Beauty School Dropout, love that name 😉 …is it because I own New York Beauty and have a few blocks made, languishing in a box somewhere? Fabrics? I’d use some Alison Glass or Katarina Roccella–so glad to see you have some of hers!! Love Art Gallery Fabrics.
Wow, this is a hard one. But I’d love to combine Cotton and Steele Macrame with either your new Orange Peels pattern, or Beauty School Dropout.
Beauty school dropout in carkai for me. With a touch of dow from my stash. Thanks for the giveaway.
Beauty school dropout in Cotton and Steel basics – limes and aquas – yummy!!
I love the “Skopelos”range by Katarina Roccella & would put them to good use in the Modern Medallion quilt. Way out of my comfort zone but just love the look/effect of “Skopelos” and
eager to start.
Would def use the cotton corture solids and hold out for the new dresden type pattern to come!
I think Modern Medallion would look fabulous in a combo of solids and Carkai!
Modern medallion with solids! I think it would show off some inspired quilting!
Love your new fabrics!
Having just participated in the zippered pouch swap, I’m on a roll installing zippers and would love to make the Washi Bag. Polka Dot Tea has so many exquisite fabrics but I have narrowed it down to Handcrafted 2 by Alison Glass and would add in some of my Marcia Derse stash.
The Washi Bag with Sun Print 2015 in blue. Juast a cool funky bag…
